The renovation of the First General Secondary School will cost 1.2 million zlotys. The school will be insulated and given an impressive facade. The windows have already been replaced. Construction crews are carrying out the final interior work in the building. They are rushing because they want to finish before the start of the school year. Funding for the renovation was obtained, among other sources, from the one-percent reserve of the educational subsidy and the Regional Development Operational Programme.

Renovation work is also underway at the Youth Cultural Centre. The roof has already been modernized; now it is time to replace the windows. The 64,000 zlotys allocated for this purpose comes from the County Environmental Protection Fund.

Soon, workers will begin modernizing the school boarding house on Ogrodowa Street. The ground floor of the building will be occupied by the Pedagogical Library, which is being relocated there. The upper floors will be adapted to the needs of secondary-school students, particularly students of the Medical Vocational School. The standard of the students’ rooms will also be improved.
