16 officers from the Bolesławiec traffic police carried out the preventive and inspection operation “Sober Morning”. The officers checked 400 drivers. Two drunk drivers were caught by the police, both in the municipality of Nowogrodziec. They were a 35-year-old man from Bolesławiec Municipality (almost 0.9 per mille) and a 50-year-old man from Lubań County (0.6 per mille of alcohol in exhaled air). They face up to 2 years in prison.
What is more, the officers confiscated 4 registration certificates (due to the poor technical condition of the vehicles) and issued 45 fines (including for excessive speed and failure to wear seat belts).
