Refugees and their situation are currently a widely discussed public issue. The organizers believe that it is worth discussing and invite everyone interested in refugee-related matters to attend the meeting. Werner Genau from the Görlitz City Office will give a presentation on the situation of refugees in Görlitz County.
The following issues will be addressed during the meeting:
- who is recognized as a refugee and by whom?
- what are the requirements for this recognition?
- who decides on the quotas?
- where are refugees accommodated in our county?
- for how long?
- which counseling services/integration centers are available to them?
- who finances these efforts?
- what can residents do to help?
