The accident occurred on Sunday, March 8, at around 5:10 a.m., on the A4 (near Osła, Gromadka commune). The 33-year-old Austrian was driving too fast, lost control of the vehicle and hit a crash barrier. The car overturned.
The vehicle was carrying six people—all Austrian citizens, aged between 30 and 60. Only the van’s passengers were injured in the accident: two sustained serious injuries and three suffered minor injuries. All five were taken to hospitals in Bolesławiec and Legnica.
The driver was sober. He escaped the accident unharmed.
