Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna w Bolesławcu invites you to an exhibition opening of works by Władysław Gałczyński, who says the following about his work:

In my painting, intuition follows its own rules, and I tend to listen to my “own” thoughts as, step by step, something resembling a painting I could accept comes into being.

The exhibition opening will take place on Thursday, March 12 at Galeria Format (Miejska Biblioteka Publiczna w Bolesławcu; Sądowa Street). It begins at 5:00 p.m..

Gałczyński was born in 1954 in Lwówek Ślaskim. He lives in Mojesz near Lwówek. For more than 25 years, he has worked as an artist at Lwówecki Ośrodek Kultury, where he conducts classes for children and young people and organizes exhibitions at Galeria Klatka LOK. A true self-taught artist.

He has been painting since 1982. He is a four-time winner of the nationwide “O Złotą Lampkę Górniczą” competition in Wałbrzych, including two first prizes. He won the nationwide Józef Chełmoński Art Competition “Pejzaż Ojczysty” in Skierniewice and was a finalist in the International Painting Competition “Człowiek i jego czas” in Łódź.
