– Non-governmental organizations are a strategic partner of the County Office, hence the need to intensify our cooperation with non-governmental organizations – agree Bolesławiec County Head Dariusz Kwaśniewski and Chairperson of the County Council for Public Benefit Activity Radosław Makówka.

On Monday, 2 March, a meeting of the Bolesławiec County Council for Public Benefit Activity with non-governmental organizations was held in the County Office’s conference room. It sought to identify the opportunities and challenges facing cooperation between the non-governmental organization sector and the County Office – particularly cooperation carried out through the County Council for Public Benefit Activity.

The work of the County Council’s second term was also summarized, and acknowledgements were presented for its activity to date. Zenon Matuszka, an independent expert from the Regional Centre for Supporting Non-Governmental Initiatives, was also invited to Monday’s meeting. He addressed issues concerning cooperation between public administration and non-governmental organizations with the participation of the County Council for Public Benefit Activity, in the context of the cooperation model developed with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy.

The meeting also identified challenges and tasks for the Council’s third term and presented information about competitions planned for organizations in 2015.
