On Saturday, February 28, the Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Siatkarskie Elektros Bolesławiec team hosted a side from Świdnica. It was the second leg of the two-match series against the Świdnica team, with ninth place in the competition at stake (in the first match, our players comfortably defeated their opponents 3–1).
In their final league match of the season, the Bolesławiec players did not find it as easy against Dekoria as they had a week earlier; nevertheless, after a fierce battle, the Bolesławiec team won the match 3–2 (22:25, 25:22, 21:25, 25:22, 15:11).
Krzysztof Mosiądz, coach of BTS Elektros Bolesławiec:
You do not criticize a winner, but from the start we were not playing the kind of volleyball we are capable of. If you approach a match believing that only two sets will be enough to win the two-match series, the team may take such a game somewhat lightly. Instead of winning those two sets, we had to fight for them.
We secured ninth place. We had hoped for a higher position, but we are pleased with this one as well. We have finished a difficult season for us and now we want to rest a little. Despite the league season ending, the guys will continue training indoors. Later, training and competition will move to the sand.
