This innocent experience may greatly help Powiat Bolesławiecki in its many-month effort to restore the ceramicist profession to favor. Officially, this profession is not taught in Poland, even though many thousands of people work in this industry. Meanwhile, ceramic companies have to train employees themselves, which, as we know, takes months and costs quite a lot.
The efforts of those responsible for education in the county are intended to change this situation. On Wednesday, 4 March, an industry conference will be held on establishing a new profession, “decorator – ceramicist,” in the Polish education system. The conference will address topics such as:
- demonstrating the differences between the classification of vocational-education professions and the classification of professions and specialties for the needs of the labor market
- presentation of the vocational education system using professions in the ceramic industry as an example
- presentation of the legislative process—the new profession
- characteristics of a ceramic-industry employee.
Bolesławiec County Starost Dariusz Kwaśniewski and ZSOiZ director Laura Słocka-Przydróżna invite you to a conference on establishing a new profession for the needs of the ceramic industry. The meeting will take place on 4 March 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at ZSOiZ named after Maj. H. Sucharski in Bolesławiec.
