On Wednesday, 25 February, the police duty officer received a report of a theft. Two people—a woman and a man—visited an 88-year-old resident of Zgorzelec. They both claimed to be waterworks employees. They said they had come to fix a breakdown.
The elderly woman let the pair of fraudsters into her apartment. When the alleged waterworks employees left, she realized that they had stolen PLN 700 from her.
