The Polish Academic Mountain Biking Championships first came to Jelenia Góra in 2013. The location of the competition in Paulinum Park was no coincidence. It was there that several years ago Maja Włoszczowska organised her first international event, titled “Jelenia Góra Trophy – Maja Włoszczowska MTB Race”.
This year, the world’s leading riders will once again compete there, with the event scheduled for 20 June. The race is included in the UCI calendar and holds HC category status, which is undoubtedly a major advantage in the pre-Olympic year. We will certainly see many mountain-biking stars in Jelenia Góra, as well as talented young riders.
Poland’s top riders, meanwhile, will compete from 29 to 31 May at the AMP, which, as is традиционally the case, will also include an additional race open to everyone interested (in the junior, under-23 and elite categories). This year, however, that competition will take place on Sunday (31 May), during the break between the women’s and men’s main races. It will be a good opportunity to test themselves and familiarise themselves with the course before the “Jelenia Góra Trophy – Maja Włoszczowska MTB Race”.
It is also worth mentioning that from this season Maja Włoszczowska will race for the Polish Kross Racing Team. We wish her every success in the upcoming season, and invite all Maja’s fans to the official website www.majawloszczowska.pl.
