The arrest took place in the evening of 23 February. Officers established that the escapee might be staying in one of the flats in Zgorzelec. When they were refused voluntary entry to the premises, they used force.
When the officers entered the flat where the wanted 26-year-old was staying, the escapee became aggressive: unwilling to allow himself to be arrested, he tried to attack the police officers. Without success. He was quickly subdued and transported to a police unit.
