“Another victory is pleasing; the team played in good style,” comments Jacek Łuczkowski, head of Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Siatkarskie, on our volleyball players’ first match against Dekoria. “There was some relaxation in the third set, but that is how volleyball sometimes is: after two comfortably won sets, the third is always the most difficult. It is important that in the fourth set our team returned to its game, confirming its dominance on the court. Dekoria had no answers this Saturday.”
Commentary from our volleyball team’s coach, Krzysztof Mosiądz:
Saturday’s match against Świdnica and the other third-league results show that our group is more evenly matched and stronger than the other one. On the one hand, it is better to gain experience against strong opponents, but on the other, such a division may be somewhat unfair.
We did not know much about our opponent, apart from the fact that they had finished in the same position in their group as we had. Our goal in this match was to win, preferably by a margin that would give us a substantial advantage in the return match. Despite the result, the match was very close. We won the first two sets convincingly, mainly thanks to effective play in the closing stages. In the third, we made more errors, mostly on serves, and the opponent took advantage. In the final set, we were clearly better in every aspect and won the entire match.
After winning in Świdnica, we are in a better position. To win the tie, two sets will be enough for us. We are playing in front of our home crowd and want to end our league campaign with a victory—preferably in good style, without losing a set.
Tomasz Włoszczyński, BTS Elektros captain:
Although we are not playing for a position that would satisfy us even to a small degree, we are not lacking motivation. We approached the match against Świdnica with focus. Dekoria kept pace with us only in the early stages; later, our team built up an advantage. Our only major lapse came in the third set, and the opponent took advantage by winning it. However, the final victory never really seemed to be in danger.
