A 29-year-old man from the Bolesławiec area can speak of having had a great deal of luck. Drunk, the man rode a bicycle along the A4 motorway towards Wrocław. The incident took place on the night from Thursday to Friday, near KFC. The cyclist was riding a folding bicycle without lights. In addition, he had no reflectors and was wearing dark clothing. The man alternately rode in the left and right lanes of the motorway.
At one point, the carefree cyclist was clipped by the wing mirror of a passenger car. Fortunately, the incident did not end in tragedy. The driver made a sudden manoeuvre and avoided colliding with the bicycle at the last moment. The cyclist himself was dissatisfied that he had to stop after the incident. He very much wanted to continue riding.
The man was detained by the Bolesławiec police. He had a blood alcohol content of 2.5 per mille. The 29-year-old was placed in custody. He will now answer for his actions before the court.
