The Days of Bolesławiec have come to an end. For three days, the residents of Bolesławiec could take part in numerous events. On Friday, the Preschool Culture Festival was held, along with concerts by Majka Jeżowska and the group Sumptuastic. Saturday passed in an atmosphere of South Slavic culture. Folk ensembles performed on stage, presenting the customs and culture of people who settled in the Bolesławiec area after World War II.

Residents of Bolesławiec could hear and watch performances by folklore ensembles from our county and from countries of the former Yugoslavia. They could also try traditional dishes, including pecenica and pita. In addition to the artists, delegations from partner cities also visited Bolesławiec. Guests from Croatia and Macedonia were also present.

Sunday featured sports and recreational events. They were announced and hosted by Irek Bieleninik.

Among others, the Flamenco Dance and Oriental Dance groups performed on stage. Near the stage, there were Mega Gladiator Fights, Climbing Competitions, the Married Couples' Tournament and a World Cup-style tournament on a special inflatable pitch.

The match between the BKS Bolesławiec team and the City Hall representatives proved very popular. The game ended with a 10:3 victory for BKS.

Despite intermittent rain and strong wind, the final day of the city's celebration was successfully held to the end. The last item on Sunday's programme was a performance by Formacja Nieżywych Schabuff. The Częstochowa group had to spend a long time warming up the audience gathered in front of the stage. Fortunately, it no longer rained during the concert, but it was cold. Formacja's concert ended at around 10:00 p.m.

This year's Days of Bolesławiec were co-financed by the European Union's Small Project Fund Interreg III A of the Nysa Euroregion, Free State of Saxony – Republic of Poland. The organizer of the Days of Bolesławiec was the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. Boleslawiec.org was the event's media patron.
