Police officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters caught a 24-year-old man from Bolesławiec red-handed after he broke into the basement rooms of a building undergoing renovation and began dismantling a gas boiler he intended to steal. When he saw the officers, the man began to flee. After a brief chase, he was detained and taken to police custody.
At the scene, officers found a cutter, a hacksaw and a trolley that the 24-year-old intended to use to transport his loot.
The man faces up to 10 years in prison.
