Preschool education is very important for a child’s comprehensive development and must not be neglected. Kindergarten is a child-friendly place for all children. It has many advantages and can help children gain experiences that are genuinely difficult to obtain at home. By attending kindergarten, children benefit in many ways. These benefits are very broad, encompassing children’s social, intellectual, emotional, linguistic and physical development. Kindergarten teaches children independence, cooperation in a group and social life; gives them opportunities to explore the world and acquire knowledge; shapes and develops their minds; develops imagination and creativity; builds language skills; teaches children to enjoy relationships with peers and adults; and prepares them to begin school.
At the request of parents whose children attend kindergartens in Rudna Municipality, related to the summer break and, consequently, the lack of childcare for children of parents working during the summer, the head of Rudna Municipality, Władysław Bigus, decided to change the way the kindergartens operate so that they function throughout the year.
They will be so-called non-holiday institutions, meaning they will operate during the winter and summer holidays; the school year will end on August 31. “The change in the organization of kindergarten work will benefit both children and parents, who will have time for their professional work,” the municipal authorities say.
