Grażyna Hanaf, author of texts for a guide to Morocco, the novel “Joachim” and the therapeutic fairy tale “Garbuska”, came at the invitation of the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre. After just a few moments, the warm and open-minded writer won over the audience. She spoke very vividly about her journey toward writing and publishing books, her pursuit of happiness, and the fact that self-belief is part of success.
At the meeting, the author emphasised the role of the positive people who crossed her path and supported her. Grażyna Hanaf spoke very interestingly about her books, and if there was anyone in the room who had not yet read them, they certainly reached for them after the meeting. There was also a reading of excerpts from the fairy tale “Garbuska”; the author herself took on the role of narrator.
When the mood became truly fairy-tale-like, the moment came for everyone to write down their dreams. In this activity, the listeners, guided by the author, wrote their deepest wishes on specially prepared cards. The cards were then burned so that the dreams would come true, which was an additional attraction of the meeting.
During the meeting, children and young people painted “Garbuska”, and the author took the results of their work as a keepsake, planning to publish them on the Istotne.pl portal. After the meeting, there was also time for photographs and autographs. The ladies from the local Rural Housewives’ Circle baked delicious cake for all the guests, for which we sincerely thank them.
Below are photographs from the meeting, the children’s drawings and the first three chapters of the fairy tale “Garbuska”.
The fairy tale can be bought in Bolesławiec: at the ceramics shop in BOK-MCC at Piłsudski Square, at the Agora bookshop in the Market Square, at the bookshop in the Tesco passage and in the online shop sklep.istotne.pl.
