Officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters received information that a stolen car was probably hidden in one of the garages in Jelenia Góra. The officers decided to check it.
As it turned out, a BMW worth PLN 75,000 was parked in the garage belonging to the 41-year-old man. The vehicle had been stolen in Germany on February 2 this year. It had license plates registered to another car.
The 41-year-old told the officers that he had bought the vehicle for parts. The man was taken into police custody. He could face up to five years in prison for handling stolen goods.
