The seventeenth edition of the competition will be held under the slogan “Safety and prudence—everyone expects this of you!” The aim of the competition is to interest students and children under the care of educational and youth institutions in safety issues and to foster responsible attitudes in situations threatening human life and health.
The competition is addressed to primary and lower-secondary school students, as well as students and residents of special educational centres, therapeutic day rooms and occupational therapy workshops. Children attending art classes at cultural centres, studios and out-of-school activity centres may also participate.
The organizers have provided for four participant categories:
- students in grades I–III of primary schools
- students in grades IV–VI of primary schools
- lower-secondary school students
- students and residents of special educational centres, therapeutic day rooms and occupational therapy workshops (up to 18 years of age).
Permitted techniques for creating the artworks include drawing, graphic art, painting, collage, painting on fabric, comics and mixed techniques. Competition entries must be in A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) or A3 (297 mm x 420 mm) format. Works that do not meet the above requirements will not be assessed.
Educational and youth institutions are asked to hold the competition at school level and select the five best works in each age group. Entries should be delivered (together with the minutes) by 15 April this year to the Crisis Management and Civil Protection Department, al. Rzeczypospolitej 3, second floor, room 13.
Works distinguished at city level will be sent to the provincial competition qualifiers at the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office and published on the website of the Legnica Municipal Office.
