German police officers spotted a suspicious Honda in one of the parking areas. The car had previously been seen in Germany, specifically in places where shoplifting incidents had occurred. The officers wanted to stop and inspect the vehicle. However, upon seeing the uniformed officers, the Honda driver began to flee.
The chase began in Germany and ended on the A4 motorway in Bolesławiec County. During the chase, German officers saw the vehicle’s passenger throwing stolen property out of the window.
Police officers from Bolesławiec arrested the suspects, both of whom are from Zgorzelec. The arrested men admitted to stealing intercoms with video receivers and several sets of socket wrenches. Police from Bolesławiec found most of the stolen items in the perpetrators’ car. The total value of the stolen property was approximately €800.
The officers are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case. Among other things, they are determining whether the 29- and 34-year-old men have committed other thefts in Poland and Germany.
