The session of the Zgorzelec County Council, held on Friday, 23 January, began with the starosta’s report on last year’s work of the Security and Order Commission, followed by the adoption of resolutions concerning the Zgorzelec County Council’s work plan for 2015 and the opening-hours schedules for public pharmacies in the county. The councillors then adopted the long-term financial forecast for 2015–2028.
Another very important item on the agenda was the adoption of the Zgorzelec County budget for 2015. The adoption of a balanced, though difficult, budget was preceded by a substantive discussion during which the councillors raised their comments, as well as the adoption of amendments proposed by the executive.
The budget resolution provides for revenues of Zgorzelec County amounting to PLN 93,474,585.57, while expenditure is set at PLN 91,075,595.02. The projected surplus of nearly PLN 2.4 million is planned to be used to repay previously incurred liabilities.
