Liga Rocka has entered its 20th year of existence and during this time has gained widespread recognition, becoming one of the most popular showcases for young bands in Lower Silesia and one of the most interesting in Poland.
For the past five years, Liga Rocka—expanded to include performances by German bands—has been organized by the Jelenia Góra Cultural Centre in cooperation with Steinhaus e.V. Bautzen (as part of cooperation between the two cultural centres).
Thanks to this event, young Polish musicians have the opportunity to perform before an enthusiastic Jelenia Góra audience, present their own original work in all shades of rock, and win their first prizes and distinctions.
Moreover, thanks to cooperation with the Steinhaus e.V. Bautzen Sociocultural Centre, rock music fans also have the opportunity to discover young German bands.
The next qualifying concert, which will take place on 20 February at 6:00 p.m. in the new JCK hall (60 1 Maja Street), will feature the following bands:
- OBSESJA (groove metal)
- DYABEU (rock/metal)
- HEXADECIMAL (progressive metal core)
- STARFISH (rock/metal)
- a guest band from Germany.
Tickets priced at PLN 5 are available from the JCK secretariat at 60 1 Maja Street.
