On Wednesday’s “Kropka nad i,” broadcast on TVN24, there was a discussion about a pill that prevents pregnancy. Monika Olejnik’s guests were gynecologist Grzegorz Południewski and Rev. Dariusz Oko.

Halfway through the program (around the 10-minute mark), the host asked the priest about his astonishing statement, which we presented on our website in the article “According to Rev. Oko, murderers can be saved if they kill in accordance with their conscience”.

“The priest’s lecture was extraordinary,” said Monika Olejnik.
“I do not deny salvation to anyone; God decides…” replied Rev. Dariusz Oko.
“No, the priest decides. The priest said that everyone can be saved. The priest said at a lecture in Bolesławiec: ‘Can Koreans who murder priests be saved? Of course! Because everything depends on conscience’.”
“What fresh information do you have, since I was there on Friday…”
“And today is Wednesday…”
“Everyone can be saved, because everyone has a chance of salvation. God wants every person to be saved; the point is for each person to have the greatest possible chance.”
“But you say that if someone acts in accordance with their conscience, they can be saved. So, as I understand it, the murderers of the journalists of the magazine Charlie Hebdo can be saved because they acted in accordance with their conscience?”
“I gave a different example…”
“Koreans who murder priests…”
“Yes. If an atheist murdered me in accordance with his conscience, he would have a greater chance of salvation than I would as a priest if I acted against my conscience. Above all, we are saved according to the degree of our faithfulness to our conscience. But if someone proclaimed atheism all their life and converted at the end, it would be like a bishop converting to atheism. Atheists are chiefly behind abortion.
“And if someone takes the ‘morning-after’ pill, can they be saved? If they do it in accordance with their conscience?”
“Every person can be saved, of course. Especially if they convert. That is why Jesus told us not to judge.”
