As Przemysław Rogowski, director of BGOK, reports, last year arrears for municipal waste collection amounted to more than PLN 1.4 million in total. This debt consisted of arrears owed by 5,251 individuals and 484 legal entities. First, reminders were sent to entities that had filed declarations but failed to pay for waste collection. When this produced no results, the next step was to issue enforcement titles.
This resulted in PLN 1.2 million being paid by the debtors. BGOK employees sent approximately 90 enforcement titles to enforcement authorities in other cities, which collect arrears owed by their residents who own properties in Legnica.
Director Rogowski assures that arrears that have not yet been collected from debtors will be pursued consistently and firmly.
