The incident took place during the night of January 18–19. The duty officer at the Lubin police headquarters was informed by a resident of the Rynek housing estate that two men were damaging a Ford Mondeo parked there. Officers from the station in Rudna went to the scene.
When one of the suspects (brothers aged 22 and 17) took out his wallet in front of the officers, a silver packet fell from his pocket. It contained amphetamine. Marijuana was also found in the vehicle.
The police also inspected the damage to the car. The suspects had damaged the bumper. Interestingly, the car they vandalized belongs to them...
Both brothers now face up to three years in prison.
