On Wednesday, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street, BKS footballers played a derby match against Chrobry Nowogrodziec. The fans watched an interesting spectacle. Bolesławiec's players avenged last year's defeat and defeated Chrobry Nowogrodziec 2–1.
A hard-fought match—that is how the play of both teams in this game can be described in brief. In the 7th minute, the visitors tested Marek Przykłota. Our goalkeeper managed to deflect a powerfully struck ball heading under the crossbar. A moment later, the visitors again sent a dangerous shot at the Bolesławiec goal, but fortunately the goalkeeper was once again where he needed to be. After this move, Łukasz Rudyk and Paweł Rissmann had chances to score for BKS. The former lost the ball while already in the penalty area, while the latter's shot was too weak and the visitors' goalkeeper managed to tip the ball behind for a corner. In the 22nd minute, the first goal of the match was scored. Łukasz Rudyk, following a pass from Paweł Rissmann, gently sent the ball into the visitors' top-left corner. The goal, scored from a dozen or so metres, was one of the finest Bolesławiec's players had seen this season. Towards the end of the first half, Wojciech Walusiak came close to scoring. However, his header was off target.
In the second half, both teams sped up their passing. There was plenty of play in midfield, but there were also plenty of shots and fine moves. In the 51st minute, Paweł Rissmann failed to take an excellent opportunity. With only the goalkeeper in front of him, our player missed from a few metres, sending the ball high over the crossbar. The BKS fans let out a groan of disappointment. However, their discouragement immediately gave way to joy in the stands. A minute later, Grzegorz Nowak beat the visitors' goalkeeper with a powerful long-range shot. The second goal did not settle the match, however. The visitors from Nowogrodziec scored a goal to narrow the deficit. In the 58th minute, Krzysztof Lechowski beat Marek Przykłota. The shot into the far corner was very difficult to save. Buoyed by their goal, Chrobry's players tried at all costs to equalise. There was no shortage of excitement right to the end of the match. BKS defended access to their own goal, giving the fans a slight horror show in the closing stages. Chrobry's players threatened the Bolesławiec goal several times, but Marek Przykłota proved that he is an effective and experienced goalkeeper. BKS Bolesławiec defeated Chrobry Nowogrodziec 2–1.
