The auditions for the film lasted just under five hours at the Orzeł cinema. Only half of those who applied dared to come and perform in front of the camera. The young people first talked about themselves and then were asked to present several scenes on assigned topics. Director Anna Wieczur-Bluszcz and her assistants watched and listened to a total of 29 people – a dozen or so will be selected for the film.
“We combine theory with practice. First there were lectures and film screenings; now it is time for workshops. We want to show how a film is made,” says Grażyna Ferensowicz, the project coordinator on behalf of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre.
Excerpts from the auditions will be published on www.film.boleslawiec.org at the end of next week. The project, the first of its kind in Bolesławiec, is being jointly carried out by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre and the Boleslawiec.org website.
