Individuals who own a property, building structure, construction equipment, installation or other location containing asbestos may apply to participate in the programme. Asbestos will also be removed from properties owned by the Municipality of Legnica.
The costs of asbestos removal will be financed as follows:
- 15% from the budget of the city of Legnica
- 85%, but no more than PLN 680 per tonne, from the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Wrocław, with financial support from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw, administered by the Municipality of Legnica.
The asbestos removal work will be carried out by a specialist company selected by the Mayor of Legnica pursuant to the Public Procurement Law.
To obtain funding, an application to participate in the programme must be submitted together with copies of the required documents. The completion date for the asbestos removal work declared in the application may not be later than 30 September. Applications must be submitted to the Registry Office of the Legnica City Hall by 15 January.
