Residents of Bogatynia, as every year, actively supported the activities of the Great Orchestra. The volunteers’ collection in the city streets, the fair held in the lower hall of the Cultural Centre, as well as stands run by associations and non-governmental organisations—these were just some of the elements of Bogatynia’s finale.
The most eagerly awaited event was the annual auction of unique items and passes. The event began at 4:00 p.m. and from the first minutes provided tremendous support for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. One of the most important elements of the auction was the traditional Golden Heart, which this year was won for PLN 1,800 by the mayor Andrzej Grzmielewicz.
The success of Bogatynia’s finale is the success of all its residents. It is thanks to their generosity and big hearts that it is possible to play together with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. This year, approximately PLN 60,000 was collected in Bogatynia, with just under PLN 18,000 coming from the auction itself.
