As reported by brigadier Andrzej Szymański of the State Fire Service in Legnica, firefighters recorded 12 incidents related to the windstorm. – These were mainly call-outs to remove fallen trees, says Brigadier Szymański. – Fortunately, none of the residents were injured in these incidents. The damage was also minor.
Firefighters also removed advertising banners damaged by the windstorm from commercial establishments, as they posed a threat to passers-by. On Saturday, 10 January, there were interruptions in the electricity supply in the Kopernik housing estate (Galaktyczna, Neptuna, Andromedy, Plutona and Marsa streets) from 19:30 to 22:00, affecting approximately 4,000 residents. Meanwhile, around 2,000 residents of the Piekary housing estate (Łabędziowa, Sokola, Krucza, Ptasia, Pątnowska, Wrocławska, Pawia and V Dywizji streets) were left without electricity from 22:00 to 00:40.
