The 34-year-old resident of Częstochowa displayed exceptional recklessness when he arrived at the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica on Sunday afternoon. The man asked to be tested for sobriety. He said that he had drunk alcohol the previous day and had to drive a car that day.
The test showed almost 0.7 per mille of alcohol in his system. The man left the police station and—as if nothing had happened—got behind the wheel of a Ford Mondeo and tried to drive away. Police officers who noticed this through the window stopped him after several dozen metres.
The 34-year-old resident of Częstochowa now faces up to two years in prison.
