Firefighters had a busy weekend in the city and Bolesławiec County. From Friday to Sunday, wind gusts reached 90 km/h. The fire service intervened around 30 times. In Bolesławiec, the wind damaged traffic lights at the intersection of Żwirki i Wigury and Chrobrego streets. On Gdańska Street, a tree fell and damaged power lines. The wind also brought down a tree on Kościuszki Street. On Staroszkolna Street, a tree fell onto the pavement. A strong gust also brought down trees on Narutowicza and Jeleniogórska streets. Firefighters also intervened on Śluzowa and Artyleryjska streets, where branches broke off trees.
The wind also caused considerable damage in Bolesławiec County. In Warta Bolesławiecka, a tree fell onto a parked car. Fortunately, no one was inside. In Parowa, a tree damaged power lines, while in Ołobok the wind brought down a tree onto a telecommunications pole. Firefighters also intervened in Ławszowa, Nowa Wieś, Nowa Kuźnia, Świętoszów, Godzieszów, Wartowice, Osła and Szczytnica. The interventions most often involved removing trees from roads.
