In Bolesławiec, the station was established in 2009. Previously, units operated in Lubań and Zgorzelec. Since May 2013, a nephrology clinic has also operated in our city.

– Treatments are normally performed three times a week, for 3–4 hours each. Some primary healthcare doctors still do not know about our clinic and station. For patients, travelling to neighboring cities can be a problem. That is why we encourage them to come to us in Bolesławiec – says Dr. Piotr Trela.

– Among people over 70, as many as 30% have impaired kidney function, of whom 5% qualify for dialysis treatment. An aging population and the use of many medications, including painkillers, mean that more and more people need help – explains Dr. Trela.

The clinic and dialysis station operate in the county hospital building on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. The station operates six days a week.
