The Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec invites visitors to view an exhibition of photographs depicting landscapes and animals from various parts of the globe, from the Namib Desert in Southern Africa, through the Andes in Chile, the jungle of Borneo and the fields of Andalusia, to the lakes of Sweden.

The exhibition was created by Michał Sikorski, a graduate of the photography programme at the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Gdynia, as well as higher education programmes in art history and the history of photography in Sweden. He has lived in Scandinavia for over 30 years, but his professional connection with photography and passion for travel take him around the world. He is a member of the elite photographers’ association "Naturfotograferna" and the International Federation of Wildlife Photography (IFWP).

Michał Sikorski seeks inspiration for his work in many regions on every continent. He has visited more than 40 countries, where he photographed wildlife. He has exhibited his work in Poland, Sweden, Germany, Australia and Malaysia. Several dozen of his photographs can be viewed at the exhibition. This is not documentary photography intended to present the details of the anatomy of rare bird and animal species or unique landforms.

The exhibition is open from Wednesday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the building of the City History Department at 14 Kutuzowa Street.
