In Legnica, this largest orchestra of human hearts will play this time at Galeria Piastów. The money raised will help maintain high standards of treatment for children in pediatric and oncology wards, as well as provide dignified medical care for seniors. Performers will include Photony, Donatan and Cleo.

– We decided to focus once again on pediatric and oncology wards in order to maintain the high standards of medical care that have been developed, among other things, thanks to WOŚP’s previous purchases. Of course, we have not forgotten about seniors. For the third time, we are turning our attention to geriatrics so that older people, too, can recover in dignified conditions – says Jurek Owsiak, the conductor of this enormous charitable orchestra.

Each of us can contribute to helping sick children, seniors and people suffering from cancer. Let us recall that so far WOŚP has donated more than 590 million zlotys to support Polish medicine.

The Legnica Finale will begin at 12:00 p.m.. Performers will include artists from the Youth Cultural Centre, the “Legnica” Song and Dance Ensemble, the “Kyczera” Song and Dance Ensemble, the Black Time System dance group, Pastor, a rapper from Brudnych Ulic, performers from the Fame Artistic Studio, !Struktura, Zielony Groszek, Why and Legnickie Morsy.

First, we will hear Photony, who are very popular with fans throughout Poland and come from Legnica. The last performers to take the stage will be the audience’s favourites, Donatan and Cleo.

Auctions will be held between performances. The evening will end at 8:00 p.m. with the traditional Light to Heaven.

The Legnica Cultural Centre is collecting items that will be auctioned to benefit the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Anyone wishing to donate something for the Orchestra’s auction can bring it to the Legnica Cultural Centre (entrance from Chojnowska Street), to room 126 (the secretariat) on the first floor, on working days, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Naturally, this does not mean only physical items. You can also “bring” a service or participation in an event.

Selected donations will be auctioned from the stage during the WOŚP finale; the rest will be placed in online auctions benefiting the Orchestra. They can be found on Allegro (user: “Lekart”).

Organizers ask donors to attach notes to their donations with a brief description of the item, service or event, along with the proposed price. The collection will continue until January 5.
