Before Mass, the 2nd Scout Carol and Pastorale Review was held in the assembly hall of the Salesian General Secondary School, with 12 groups and troops from Ścinawa, Rudna and Lubin taking part. All participants received certificates and gifts, while the best also received cups. The prizes were sponsored by the Municipal Office in Lubin and the Lubin County Office.
After the Peace Light was passed on, the scouting staff met for an instructors’ Christmas Eve dinner, during which everyone exchanged the wafer and offered one another heartfelt wishes. Finally, the commander of the Scout District, Scoutmaster Łukasz Nowicki, thanked everyone for their commitment and activity, summed up the passing year and presented plans for the next one.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks for helping organize such a complex undertaking to the Salesian priests from Lubin, especially Fr. Dariusz Kułan, Fr. Ludwik Graf and Fr. Tomasz Rutkowski, thanks to whom everything could take place in such a solemn atmosphere,” says Scoutmaster Łukasz Nowicki.
