A training session for teachers was held in the common room of Primary School No. 4 as part of the “We Save Lives and Teach Others to Save Lives” program. The program is aimed at primary-school teachers working with grades 1, 2 and 3. The theoretical and practical classes were led by instructors from the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
The training lasted about five hours. During that time, teachers from Bolesławiec learned, among other things, how to call for help correctly, how to check whether a person is conscious, what the recovery position looks like and how to perform chest compressions. WOŚP instructors placed great emphasis on the practical application of the knowledge being taught, so the exercises were repeated. After completing the course, the teachers received teaching materials and mannequins for practicing first aid.
