The competition, organized for children and young people by Bolesławiec-based PWiK, focused on the history of the city and the development of its water supply and sewerage systems. The competition, held under the honorary patronage of President Piotr Roman, took place as part of the celebrations marking five centuries of water supply and sewerage in Bolesławiec. It was linked to this year’s European Heritage Days, “Heritage as a Source of Identity,” which were devoted to the links between culture, history and water (water sources are key factors in the history of settlement).

Twelve best drawings were selected from 121 entries, and these are the works featured in the calendar.
