The aim of this year’s 23rd Finale is to raise money to maintain high standards of treatment for children in pediatric and oncology wards, as well as dignified medical care for seniors.

In this way, the Grand Orchestra will support pediatric and oncology wards for children, focusing on three main aspects; more information is available at www.wosp.pl.

The Jelenia Góra concert of the Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity, organized by the Jelenia Góra Cultural Centre with considerable assistance from the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association troop and financial support from the City, will be held under the patronage of Jelenia Góra Mayor Marcin Zawiły.

Both performers and volunteers will appear on the large stage set up in Town Hall Square, along with young artistic communities involved in various auctions and bidding events for valuable items.

The event will be hosted by Maria Łabaziewicz, commander of the Karkonosze Polish Scouting and Guiding Association troop in Jelenia Góra, and well-known cabaret performer Andrzej Marchowski, who, as every year, will try not only to entertain an audience of several thousand, but also encourage them to spend a few pennies on valuable items.

Just a few minutes after 4:00 p.m., the pop-rock group Fairy Tale Show will perform on stage. The group has already achieved considerable success, including an appearance on the popular Must Be The Music programme and several hit songs.

During the five-hour event, the organizers have planned a series of auctions and bidding events for items donated by well-known figures from the political and artistic life of our country, as well as from the region. Other performers will include the pop-rock group Natalii Lubrano, a participant in this year’s edition of Voice of Poland, who will present material from her latest album, as well as our leading Jelenia Góra band, Mafi Furach.

At exactly 8:00 p.m., the Light to Heaven will shine, illuminating the entire Town Hall Square, while fireworks will burst in the sky, taking on different shapes each year and forming a colorful part of every spectacle.

But before that happens, it is worth going to Jelenia Góra’s Town Hall Square to attend all the earlier concerts and bidding events, which begin at 4:00 p.m.
All this will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2015, as part of the 23rd Finale of the Grand Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
