Old Legnica is a beautiful city with an interesting and colorful history. Before the war, it was famous for its beautiful and fascinating architecture. Chojnowska Street is one example of this architectural vision.

Before World War II, this street operated under the German name Heinauerstrasse. It was laid out as early as the medieval period and is now one of the city’s longest streets, measuring 2,613 meters.

Today, it guides drivers toward Chojnów and other cities in the region in the direction of the German border, while until the mid-20th century trams ran along it—trams that have now passed into history.

We can admire the former charm of Chojnowska Street in old postcards that survived the twists and turns of fate.
