The exhibition presents several hundred artefacts, making it possible to show the diversity of forms and the wealth of decorative motifs found in 18th- and 19th-century ceramics. The first group consists of vessels decorated with diagonal ribbing, while the second comprises items embellished with applied elements in various forms and decorative motifs. Vessels featuring painted decoration are represented in small numbers.

Against this background, the 19th-century vessels created according to designs by C.D.F. Bach at E.S. Gotthard’s factory in Bolesławiec stand out in particular, as do products from J.G. Altmann’s pottery, which were awarded a gold medal at the First World’s Fair in London in 1851. They are characterised by exceptional delicacy, elegant form and refined decoration. Many of the artefacts are being presented for the first time at an exhibition at the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
