Herring salad and ham with melon were recognized as the tastiest dishes in the Easter competition, which was held on Saturday in Łaziska. Among other things, it was for these dishes that the competition jury awarded first place to the Kruszyn Rural Housewives’ Association. The hosts from Różyniec took second place. The Rural Housewives’ Association from Dobra came third. In the audience poll (voting by ballot), the ladies from the Ocice Rural Housewives’ Association won after preparing white borscht.
The competition judged the taste and appearance of the dishes, as well as the extent to which they referred to Easter tradition. The dishes included celery pâté, naczynka and caraway soups, ham with spinach, stuffed eggs, stuffed poultry, pork tenderloin with plums, and many types of Easter baked goods.
