On Saturday, BKS Bolesławiec played an away match against Orzeł Ząbkowice Śląskie. The match began with Orzeł dominating the play. The hosts launched several dangerous attacks near the BKS goal. In the 15th minute, Marek Przykłota saved our team from conceding a goal. No goals were scored before half-time. Daniel Chęciński and Rafał Krakowiak of Ząbkowice failed to convert their chances. Wojtek Walusiak could have scored for BKS, but his header went just wide of the hosts’ goal.

At the beginning of the second half, Orzeł Ząbkowice scored. In the 49th minute, following a cross into the BKS penalty area, Daniel Chęciński beat our goalkeeper from close range. The score did not change again, although the players from Bolesławiec tried to equalize. Paweł Rissman, Radek Pietkiewicz and Tomek Jasiński had chances to score. Near the end of the second half, the referee disallowed a second goal for the Ząbkowice team, calling a foul on our goalkeeper. BKS’s first match of the spring round ended in a 0–1 defeat.

Chrobry Nowogrodziec also began its campaign with a defeat. In Sunday’s match, BKS’s local rivals hosted GKS Kobierzyce. The game began with both teams playing an even contest. Chrobry created several dangerous attacks and came close to scoring. However, it was the visitors, not the hosts, who scored in this match. GKS scored twice before the break.

In the second half, Chrobry’s players threw themselves into trying to recover the deficit. However, the hosts’ attacks lacked ideas. In addition, Chrobry’s players were inaccurate, often misplacing passes or losing the ball. The visitors focused on counterattacking, which brought further goals. GKS scored two more goals in the second half, and the match ended in a heavy defeat for the team from Nowogrodziec. Chrobry Nowogrodziec lost 0–4 to GKS Kobierzyce.
