A racketlon tournament included in the world ranking was held last weekend in Prague, Czechia. In the doubles competition, Krystyna Szwajkowska and Jacek Szubert won the bronze medal. As a result, they moved up to sixth place in the world racketlon doubles ranking. In the first round, our players easily defeated the Hungarian pair (by 16 points), followed by the Czech pair (by 32 points). Only in the semifinal did our pair lose to the Swedes Nilsson/Druve, who later went on to win the entire tournament. The players from Bolesławiec therefore competed for third place. Their opponents were players from Germany. The match was very close. Our pair defeated the Germans by just 4 points.

Bolesławiec player Norbert Stolicki, competing together with Grzegorz Sylwestrzak from Bogatynia, finished the competition in the quarterfinals. In the Elite women’s singles category, Krystyna Szwajkowska took fifth place. Jacek Szubert, meanwhile, finished first in the Men Amateur category. In the men’s singles competition, Norbert Stolicki reached the quarterfinals, while Grzegorz Darul earned his first points in the world ranking. The Bolesławiec player, making his debut in the competition, won one match.
