The participation of TOP Bolesławiec athletes in the World Doubles Racquetlon Championships ended in great success. The competition was held in Prague last weekend. Twenty-five of the best pairs in the world took part. Three TOP athletes also travelled to the Czech Republic: Jacek Szubert, Krzysztof Samonek and Norbert Stolicki. Krzysztof and Norbert played as a pair, while Jacek competed with Rafał Rykowski from Wrocław. The Krzysztof and Norbert doubles pair took ninth place. Jacek and Rafał, meanwhile, finished sixth. The three athletes from Bolesławiec and the athlete from Wrocław were the only representatives of Poland at these championships.

Waldemar Krzemiński won the Polish Championship

From 3 to 5 April, the Polish Championships for People with Disabilities in Table Tennis were held in Kalisz. More than 170 athletes from across Poland took part, competing in several categories. A very successful performance was recorded by TOP Bolesławiec representative Waldemar Krzemiński, who won the Polish Champion title in his category.

The Bolesławiec athlete comfortably defeated his opponents in the group matches, quarterfinals and semifinal. In the final, Waldemar Krzemiński faced his former coach and former TOP Bolesławiec player, Andrzej Kwiatkowski. The winner of the final match was determined only after five sets. In the last set, which decided the championship title, Waldek won 11–9 and claimed the coveted gold medal.

The other TOP representatives: Zbigniew Kurasz, Krzysztof Ściban, Marek Kołbuc and Dariusz Surma lost only in the quarterfinals.
