Councillors elected the county head. It was Dariusz Kwaśniewski, who had held this position since February. The new-old county head was supported by 12 councillors, while 9 voted against him.
As the vote shows, support for Kwaśniewski among the councillors has clearly declined. In February, when Cezary Przybylski stepped down, 15 councillors voted for Kwaśniewski and only 2 against him (now there are as many as 9).
The results of the county council elections show a similar picture. In 2010, Dariusz Kwaśniewski received 786 votes. After four years in office, including several months as county head, support for him fell by as much as 18%. This year he received 642 votes. He was beaten, among others, by Stanisław Chwojnicki, the incumbent deputy county head, and Jan Russ of Law and Justice.
Update 2014-12-01 12:57
Marian Haniszewski of the Polish People's Party became deputy county head (13 votes in favour, 8 against).
