This is excellent news for our city and the best recognition of efforts to promote Bolesławiec as a city of ceramics. The map of Poland, created by renowned illustrators Aleksandra and Daniel Mizieliński, features drawings characterizing individual cities: next to Warsaw, among other things, the Sigismund Column is shown, while Wawel appears next to Kraków. In the location of Bolesławiec, there is a large stamped ceramic jug with the caption: Bolesławiec ceramics.

The map distributed by the Prime Minister’s Office—sent free of charge to anyone who placed an order—is also an invitation to interactive fun. The authors encourage readers to discover Poland together with their parents and grandparents. They also suggest that children draw on the map whatever they believe characterizes a given town or city. Young residents of Bolesławiec can add many things beside the ceramic jug, for example: the viaduct, the Museum of Ceramics, Napoleon Bonaparte, or the Old Theatre, Forum cinema, or the Orka swimming pool.
