The visit of Dariusz Sztylka – a long-time player and captain of Śląsk Wrocław, with whom he won the Ekstraklasa Cup, as well as the Polish championship and runners-up title, and a coach and co-founder of the Piłkarska Akademia Mistrzów “Olympic” Wrocław – took place as part of the Mały Mistrz programme. The football component of the programme in our county is organised by the Stowarzyszenie Centrum Odkrywania Młodych Talentów 2012 in cooperation with the Dolnośląski Związek Piłki Nożnej.
The former Śląsk player – together with second coach Wojciech Pawłowski – first visited the Primary School in Trzebień (Bolesławiec Municipality), and then went to Raciborowice (Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality).
Sztylka spoke vividly about his beginnings in football, the clubs he played for, the coaches who helped him become a better footballer, the successive stages of his career, and fulfilling his greatest dream: winning the Polish championship.
After the nearly hour-long meeting, the two guests conducted a training session for first-graders. There was also time for a group commemorative photograph. Details on the COMT 2012 website.
