On Tuesday, June 2, a training session was held at the Orlik pitch beside II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec as part of the EKO-Zdrowie program, carried out by KGHM and Zagłębie Lubin. In addition to a coach from Zagłębie’s Football Academy, the session was also attended by the second coach of the „Miedziowi” first team, Łukasz Smolarow, as well as two footballers: Adrian Błąd and Aleksander Kwiek.
The session was attended by young footballers from Bolesławiec clubs, including COMT 2012, KS Talent and BKS Bobrzanie, as well as a player from Pieńsk. “The Football Academy coach told me that he sees three or four boys here who have the potential for a great future,” says Bartosz Kubica from the Centrum Odkrywania Młodych Talentów 2012, a co-organizer of the event. “But it is equally important that these young boys have contact with great footballers. The players can inspire them and show them that becoming a professional footballer is not so difficult. You just have to work hard and have a little luck.
The boys also received tickets to the Zagłębie Lubin vs. Termalica match. This is how they will celebrate the „Miedziowi”’s promotion to Ekstraklasa.
