The new hall has an area of 2,500 sq m, which can be divided into smaller modules, as well as 250 sq m of open-space office space. The new facility was built by “Invest-Park”.
Constructing halls is one element of “Invest-Park’s” economic policy—supporting smaller entrepreneurs, especially those who cannot afford to build their own facilities. By renting premises in facilities belonging to the zone and equipping them with their own production lines, companies will be able to benefit from tax exemptions amounting to 45% of investment costs for small enterprises and 35% for medium-sized enterprises, or two years’ employment costs.
Representatives of WSSE, local government officials and Deputy Minister Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik attended the ceremony. She declared support for measures facilitating entrepreneurs’ investments in the special economic zone.
The following companies have so far invested in the Bolesławiec Subzone of WSSE: Hoerbiger Automotive Poland—automotive, Lesław Sacher Obróbka Skrawaniem Metalu, SRG Global—automotive, Elektros—energy, and Kegger—automotive.
Further companies that have decided to locate in Bolesławiec are Vilsait—logistics and Turningtec—automotive. The declared investment expenditure is PLN 234.6 million, with declared minimum employment of 613 people.
A total of 10 permits to conduct business activity have been issued. The zone is an ideal place to invest for both large companies and small family businesses. Everyone who decides to invest in the special economic zone can count on tax exemptions. The terms of the tax exemption are specified in the permit to conduct business activity in the area covered by the special economic zone, which the investor receives after deciding to invest in the zone. Investors locating projects in Bolesławiec may also benefit from exemptions from local taxes (property tax). Tax exemptions for entrepreneurs are established by two resolutions of the Bolesławiec City Council—on de minimis aid and regional aid.
A press briefing by Deputy Minister Ilona Antoniszyn-Klik and Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman preceded the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony. During this part of the meeting, a new investment in Bolesławiec worth approximately PLN 120 million was announced. The new investor is interested in a plot in the Bolesławiec subzone of WSSE measuring 18 hectares, where it plans to build a hall with an area of nearly 6.5 hectares. The investment is expected to create another 600 jobs in the city.
